Definition: Homotheticity - Any function that can be expressed as a monotonic transformation of a homogeneous function is homothetic. This means that all homogeneous functions are also homothetic (but not the other way around). A homothetic function of two variables has the property that its level curves have the same slope where they intersect a ray extending from the origin.
