To grasp the interrelation of global processes it is essential to analyze and compare economic developments in and across countries. Likewise, Austria’s economy has to be seen against the background of international trends.
Thus, the OeNB’s economists regularly conduct country-specific analyses as well as comparative studies on selected current economic issues, with a geographical focus on Western Europe and the euro area as well as Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. In its analysis of global trends, the OeNB also regularly monitors other economic areas, such as the U.S.A., Asia and the CIS.
A more detailed overview of OeNB papers and events with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe is available at ceec.oenb.at, the OeNB’s CEEC information platform.
