This table shows the income earned by foreign direct investment enterprises in Austria from the provision of financial capital in Austria, such as distributed profit, reinvested earnings and income from intracompany loans, extraordinary income is not included. The industry refers to the activity of the Austrian subsidiary.

Legal basis:
Legal basis for compilation: Austria: Article 44 Nationalbank Act, Exchange Control Act 2004.
International: SDDS and Articles of Agreements of the IMF, ECB guideline; Regulation (EC) No 184/2005 on Community statistics concerning balance of payments, international trade in services and foreign direct investment.
Methodology:
Distributed profit and earnings on intracompany loans are compiled on a monthly basis, total income on an annual basis (unless preliminary estimates are used).
Reporting institutions:
About 2,500 direct investment enterprises (subsidiaries) in Austria.
