TARGET2 – SSP

The Single Shared Platform (SSP) will replace the different national RTGS components with one single platform in Europe from 2007 onward.

The new SSP system will be based on the principles of an extensively harmonized service level, a single price structure and cost efficiency. 

The implementation of the SSP, which will be carried out by Germany, Italy and France, will start in 2007; on behalf of Austria, the OeNB will take a leading position in the process.
