Credit transfer forms

In Austria, a new paper-based credit transfer form (known as “Zahlungsanweisung”), fully replace all other forms used in Austria for domestic and cross-border credit transfers (Zahlschein, Erlagschein and the EU standard transfer) by the end of July 2014. The new credit transfer form may be used for domestic transfers and for cross-border credit transfers to European countries that are part of theSingle Euro Payments Area (SEPA).

Since February 1, 2016, customers are no longer obliged to state the BIC for cross-border payment transactions in Euro within the European Economic Area.
