Description:

This table shows the annual consumer price inflation rate, i.e. the percentage change in consumer prices from the same period of the previous year, as measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) for the euro area and the euro area countries. The breakdown is in accordance with the classification of individual consumption by purpose adapted to the needs of the HICP (ECOICOP). The breakdown shown is the one mainly used by the ECB.
