comment The rates given in this table are the final rates per month reported to the OeNB. These rates stem from reliable sources in the respective countries. They are reference values. It is not known whether they were actually used for all conversions. No information has been available on taxes applicable to the buying and selling of foreign exchange. All currencies are quoted against the euro (base currency).

breaks With effect from January 1, 2008, the Bolivar fuerte (VEF) has replaced the Bolivar (VEB) at a conversation rate of 1,000 VEB = 1 VEF. Venezuela adopted a two-tier exchange rate system with effect from January 11, 2010. The first official exchange rate (priority rate) applies to certain capital receipts and debt servicing payments by public-sector entities (excluding the oil sector), to services free of charge, and to imports of priority consumption and capital goods.
