comment | Asset, Income and Risk Statement (A1a) - time deposits as well as saving deposits with notice period and maturity. Time deposits are bank deposits with a given maturity. In principle, they do not serve to handle payments but rather constitute temporary interest-bearing investments. Time deposits may be fixed term or redeemable at notice. These deposits are put at credit institutions disposal by customers. They are non-securitized deposits at agreed terms. Saving deposits are monies deposited with credit institutions they serve as investments and are not used for payment purposes. On accepting such deposits, credit institutions must issue specific documents (such as savings books). Until september 2017 the item "deposits with notice period and maturity" only consists of term deposits. Since december 2017, additionally to term deposits, also saving deposits with notice period and maturity are shown. |
