Credits refer to goods exports and debits to goods imports. The data, originally compiled by Statistics Austria, are - on the debit side - adjusted for transportation and insurance components in line with international practice. Furthermore data are corrected for transactions by non-resident units and amended with non-cross-border transactions as well as merchanting. Balance with a + sign: surplus/Austria´s exports exceed its imports. Balance with a - sign: deficit/Austria´s imports exceed its exports. |
