Venezuela adopted a two-tier exchange rate system with effect from January 11, 2010. The first official exchange rate (priority rate) applies to certain capital receipts and debt servicing payments by public-sector entities (excluding the oil sector), to services free of charge, and to imports of priority consumption and capital goods. |
