comment The rates given in this table are the final rates per month reported to the OeNB. These rates stem from reliable sources in the respective countries. They are reference values. It is not known whether they were actually used for all conversions. No information has been available on taxes applicable to the buying and selling of foreign exchange. All currencies are quoted against the euro (base currency).

breaks With effect from August 1, 2006, Zimbabwes central bank redenominated the Zimbabwe dollar (ZWD) by removing the last three zeroes. At the same time, it adjusted the interbank exchange rate to 250 ZWD = 1 USD, which amounts to a devaluation by 59.4%. With effect from September 7, 2007, Zimbabwes central bank adjusted the interbank exchange rate to 30.000 ZWD = 1 USD. According to reports by “The Sunday Mail”, a state-controlled Zimbabwean paper, the use of the Zimbabwe dollar has been officially suspended for one year.
