Description:

This table shows the EU Economic Sentiment Indicator, a composite indicator that reflects and represents judgments and attitudes of producers and consumers. Business and consumer surveys provide these judgments and anticipations for the different components of the economy: industry, services, consumers, construction and retail trade. Therefore the economic sentiment indicator is a composite indicator made up of the individual opinion balances of the five confidence indicators, which are weighted as follows: Industrial confidence indicator [40%]; service confidence indicator [30%]; consumer confidence indicator [20%]; construction confidence indicator [5%]; retail trade confidence indicator [5%].
