Description:

This table shows the outstanding amounts of debt securities by Austrian issuers broken down by economic sectors of the issuer, currency of denomination and original maturities of the security. Additionally, debt securities issued by monetary financial institutions and government sector are split by their coupon type (fixed and variable rate). The published data are available in market and face value. Market value is pre-selected as the default value in the table.

Legal basis:

Article 44 Nationalbank Act, ECB Guideline (ECB/2022/25).

Methodology:

Monthly, full census.

Debt securities with ISINs as well as non-ISIN debt securities (e.g., non-standardized and non-listed securities) are both included in the published aggregates. Reference information for the statistical compilation such as the ESA-sector classifications of the issuer is derived from the securities database of the OeNB’s statistics department. Main methodological differences to the securities issuances of Austrian issuers published by the ECB (CSEC-Securities Issues Statistics) are the inclusion of non-ISIN debt securities and the usage of the national reference data base in the compilation of statistical aggregates.
