Description: The table shows non-cash payment transactions sent by non-MFIs in Austria. It breaks down transfers, direct debits, checks, e-money transfers, money transfers, and card payments (including card payment reversals, e.g., when goods are returned) by number and value.

Legal basis: Regulation (EU) 2020/2011 of the European Central Bank of December 1, 2020, on payment statistics (ECB/2020/59) in conjunction with Sections 44 and 44a of the National Bank Act; Directive 2015/2366/EC on payment services in the internal market.

Methodology: Full survey as part of payment statistics, quarterly (payment cards) or semi-annually (all other payment transactions).

Reporting institutions: Payment service providers (credit institutions under EU law, payment institutions, e-money institutions) based in Austria or with branches/subsidiaries in the EEA (in accordance with freedom of establishment).
