At the OeNB’s cash counters in Vienna and Innsbruck you can e.g. exchange Austrian schillings for euro or hand in damaged euro banknotes or suspected counterfeits.

Exchanging schillings for euro
To exchange Austrian schillings (ATS) for euro, please contact the OeNB’s cash counters in Vienna and Innsbruck. You can also hand in Austrian schillings by post to have them exchanged.

Exchanging damaged banknotes
To swap damaged euro banknotes, please submit the damaged banknotes by post or consult the OeNB’s cash counters – we will help you to obtain replacements.
