Description:

This table shows indicators which feature prominently in the economic policy debate and which reflect the performance of the Austrian economy from a variety of perspectives. These indicators are benchmarks of choice for competitiveness and location advantages and are typically used in international comparisons. They are mostly relative measures of performance, showing the occurrence of a given variable (e.g. R&D spending in EUR million) in relation to another variable (e.g. GDP in EUR million). For definitions of the various indicators, please refer to the footnotes to the tables.
