OeNB portal
On January 15, 2020, we updated the basic functionalities of the OeNB portal to comply with applicable data protection and e-government law, and we also improved the portal’s overall usability.
The OeNB portal allows businesses to swiftly and easily assign access rights for web portal applications provided by the OeNB (“portal applications”). You will find information and instructions about the key functionalities below.
Corporate administrators
The OeNB portal allows corporate administrators to manage application administrators and users.
To clearly map corporate administrators to a specific business, corporate administrators can only access the OeNB portal via the Austrian government’s Business Service Portal (“USP”).
Application administrators
Corporate administrators authorize application administrators to manage user accounts for specific portal applications.
Application administrators log on to the OeNB portal using their mobile phone signature or citizen card in order to provide proof of their identity.
Application users
To use a portal application which requires identification, authorized users need to log on using their mobile phone signature or citizen card.
Users who are only authorized to use portal applications which do not require identification may still log on to the OeNB portal with only a username and password.
FAQ
How do I apply for a mobile phone signature or a citizen card?
For more information on the mobile phone signature and citizen card, see the FAQ prepared by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs.
Can only Austrian citizens apply for a mobile phone signature or a citizen card?
No. To be able to obtain a mobile phone signature or a citizen card in Austria, foreign citizens either need to be registered in Austria’s central register of residents or in the supplementary register for natural persons. Please note that the application process is likely to take longer if these registration steps have not been completed first.
Can I use my private mobile phone signature for logging on to the OeNB portal?
Yes. You can use your private mobile phone signature for private and business matters.
I already have a user account with the OeNB portal (www.myoenb.com). Do the mobile phone number I gave for the user account and the phone number associated with my mobile phone signature have to be identical?
No. These two mobile phone numbers are completely separate from each other.
Is the phone number of my mobile phone signature transmitted to the OeNB portal?
No.
Will it be possible for several persons to log on to the OeNB portal with one and the same mobile phone signature?
No.
Will it still be possible for users to log on to the OeNB portal by using software certificates such as a.sign light?
No. To log on, users will use their mobile phone signatures or citizen cards instead.
When will it be possible to log on to the OeNB portal by using ID Austria?
Once ID Austria is made available by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs, we will immediately start implementing this option for our users.
I need to use the Business Service Portal (USP). How can I get access?
For more information on the Business Service Portal, see the following FAQ (in German only).
Does every business need a corporate administrator?
Yes. Corporate administrators play a superordinate role in managing both user accounts and corporate settings on the OeNB portal.
Must corporate administrators take on all administrative activities on the OeNB portal?
No. Corporate administrators may designate application administrators on the OeNB portal, who will then manage user rights for their company for particular portal applications.

To learn more about your USP administrator, please contact the USP service center. For contact details, see here.
