Focus area: Globalisation and fragmentation
We analyse changes in the global economic order amid the conflicting forces of (de)globalisation, geopolitical fragmentation and economic transformation. Our goal is to present complex global economic developments in a way that is understandable, data-driven and relevant to action.
Using a data-driven approach, we analyse international trade, capital flows and migration. We develop a comprehensive database and publish our analyses on an interactive platform (“dashboard”) to make economic trends transparent. Our analyses support decision-makers, institutions and the public in better assessing risks, strengthening resilience and shaping the global economic policy debate on the basis of facts.
